Nurse Assistant

Do you want to be a key member of a medical team and assist patients in obtaining quality care?  ATI’s nurse assistant (NA) program is for you!  Nurse assistants are an asset to the health care industry because of the care that they provide for patients in hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation units, and assisted living centers.

Our NA program is led by career professionals and designed to train students in a variety of medical services including basic first aid, CPR, taking vital signs, applying elements of basic nutrition in meal planning, and implementing infection control policies to help care for patients in the fast-paced environments of hospitals or care facilities.  In addition to helping care for patients and learning how to lift and turn those with limited mobility, students will also learn how to work alongside patients seeking maximum functional independence.  In as few as 4 weeks, you can be ready to start your career as a nurse assistant!

Students must possess a high school diploma, GED or recognized equivalent, or demonstrate the ability to benefit from training.  Non-high school graduates or students who do not possess appropriate equivalency may be admitted under ability to benefit (ATB) criteria with a minimum score of Verbal-200 and Quantitative-210 on the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test. Nurse Assistant students must have a CGPA of 2.0 prior to beginning clinical practice.  The NA graduate will be eligible to challenge the Texas Skills Examination and the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program examination to become a certified nurse aid (CNA).

Contact an admissions representative today to learn how you can embark on a new career path in this exciting industry.

Programs vary by location so please contact your local ATI campus for more information.  Talk to an admissions representative today to learn more about starting your career as a nurse assistant by calling (888) 209-8264.
